Twice this week!
Morons have tried to pick me up! Let me give you a run down of both. They are both ridiculously lame.
Okay background info, I work in a jewelry store. We clean jewelry from us or not, we cannot turn someone away. It really sucks cause we have those guys with their ghetto chains and rings coming in. So this is what happened the other day.
First Guy~
I'm at work (oh, I'm wearing a straight black skirt, slit in back, black strappy high heels, white cami, with a sort grey jacket) and these three guys walk up. I ask them how they are and if I can help them (I already see the one guy checking me out). One guy pulls out a BAG full of ghetto jewelry and is like "you clean jewelry, right?"
Me~ "Sure."
Him~ Cool, here you go." (handing me all his ghettoness)
So I turn to go to the cleaner and I hear the one guy say "Damn!" I ignore them all. While at the cleaner I go to put my hair up so it doesn't get in my face as I'm cleaning his jewelry and I hear "I'll do that for you mami." So finally I turn and look him dead in the eye and say "Excuse me?" and he's all "You Spanish?" Me "I'm half Puerto Rican." Him "I knew it from that sexy ass walk of yours." Me "Hmmm, really? I didn't' know you could tell nationalities from the way one walks!" and I turn away. Gave him his stuff and walked to the back of the store. Okay how lame was that? He could tell what I was cause of my 'sexy ass walk'??? Get a new pick up line!
Okay now, I work in jewelry and know the rules to follow, but I rarely do! But the other day I tried to remember, so before getting in the shower I took off my wedding and engagement rings and put them on the counter. What did that result in? Me forgetting to put the back on and went to work with my cheaters ring only (the tan line on my ring finger). And this is what happened.
Second Guy~
I greet a customer and ask him if I can help him. He looks at me and smiles and says I helped him with his wife's gift last year. I smile and pretend to remember him. So on we go, he's looking for a gift for his daughter. So he's smiling and joking and on and on. So finally after about 45 min. of BS he settles on a ring. I'm about to ring it up and he's all. "So are you married?" Me "Yup! Six years now." and he's all "OH, where's your rings?" Me, "forgot them on the counter at home, I hate that." Him "Well I'm glad your married." Me, "oh?" Him, "yeah I was thinking, damn she better be taken or that's a waste of a fine woman." Me (tight smile) "Thanks, here's your purchase. Have a nice night." Walk away.
OMG, is it me or are all men's pickup lines just plain horrible???

......ThE gUy RooM!!!......
JD has forever wanted a 'guy room', you know a place to put up all his football stuff that he buys and I don't let him put anywhere else in the house. lol. So he's finally got it. His urge for one always becomes bigger right around preseason stuff for football, and since I am going to Vegas in November I figured why not. So the loft is his. It used to be the kids playroom but they were mostly just going up there getting toys and bringing them down to the living room or their room, so what the heck. The only rule? He had to keep two things up there. That big blue ball rolling game thing you see in this picture, cause it's to big to put anywhere else in the house and the kids love it. And J's basket ball thing. It's just a plastic hoop but I don't want it down stairs. So here's a picture...
It's so not done, obviously. You can still see the blue paint tape up. He painted the back wall grey (for the eagles) side walls white, and will hang all his eagles stuff up on the grey wall. He actually went to Home Dept and got "Eagles Grey" paint. *rolling eyes* And the football rug? lol, that used to be in J's room, we bought it for him. ha ha. And the sofa table you see in front of the window? yeah, that's coming down stairs, I just have to stain it first. It doesn't match the wood I have in the rest of the house. And that's J's recliner kinda just sitting there randomly, so cute it matches JD's to a T. And here's another angle of the room.
Oh and quick story behind that busted up fan? I was purposely annoying JD one night cause I was mad at him. And he threw the fan across the room and it fell down the stairs. So it broke all up, and he taped it back together. Don't know why we didn't just trash it. But now it kinda holds fond memories. lol. After he threw it I looked at him and said "Hmmm, do you feel better now?" ha ah ha!
Oh what the hell, since I posted pics of JD's guy room, lets show a picture or two of my room! The living room. Where my computer and books are.
Excuse the rug thrown over the railing. I didn't even notice it till I looked at the picture. It's my kitchen rug, but I was moping so I threw it there for a bit.
I'm going to be getting some kind of cover for that couch, I'm not really feeling the color. But it is soooo comfy!
So what do you think? Who has the better room. lol, I know what one the guys will pick.
J&A Moment ~ Dressing Up
My kids just came out of their room all proud of themselves. They got dressed without me! Yeay!!!
Guess what they are wearing?
J~ Baby blue basketball shorts with a orange and white stripe down the side, with a white shirt with a yellow truck on it, that has light grey sleeves with a dark blue stripe down it.
A~ Teal shorts that have pink and yellow flowers on it, and a white shirt with purple flowers on it.

Yeah, so I'm not leaving the house like this today. lol.

Killing Me Softly. Book vs. Movie
Last night I stayed up till 2am watching this movie. I was all kinds of excited since I read the book almost 2 years ago and loved it, and the movie was supposedly based off of the book. Now I've only ever watched a movie and read a book that were the same once before. It was A Walk To Remember, and at first I loved the book and hated the movie but after watching the movie a few more times it grew on me. I just had to reconcile with myself that there were some differences. But you know what? The storyline at least was the same, the ending was the same. But before I get into the movie let me give you a little on the book. And be forewarned, there will be spoilers in both reviews (movie and book) so I can tell you how they differed.
A friend of mine that reads a lot but not usually romance recommended this book to me. She said she knew it wasn't romance but she really thought I'd like it. I don't know why she felt the need to say that since I don't' only read romance I just mostly read romance. Anyway, this was the first time I ever read Nicci French, and since this book I've come to really love her writing style. I found this book in the Thriller section of the book store and it's a book about obsession. Lets do a run down of the book. And just so you know, it's been quite awhile since I've read the book and since Holly STILL has my copy I'm going off of memory.
Alice is living in London with her boyfriend (don't remember how long they were together but it was serious) they have their group of friends they always hang with and Alice is best friends with her boyfriends sister. She has a pretty mundane job and just goes day to day. One day as she's walking to work she catches the eye of a man crossing the street. And that's where the obsession begins. She leaves for lunch and (if I'm remembering correctly) he's outside her building, she gets into a cab with him and goes to an apartment where the screw like crazy all day. This goes on for about a week I think. Her meeting up with him banging around feeling this crazy obsession to be with him, even as she knows practically nothing about him. But also struggling with leaving her long time boyfriend and her old life behind. Adam, the new man she's met, is a mountain climber. He's practically a hero for just about a year ago he took a team up and there was a tragic accident that killed many of the people including his girlfriend at the time, but he saved 6 peoples lives. So the book goes, she leaves her old boyfriend to be with Adam. Adam does a interview for a Mountain magazine where they talk him up as a hero and then the letters and accusations start.
Now let me put in real quick that some time either before the article or after Adam convinces Alice to marry him. So they are wed now.
A girl comes forward and claims that years ago Adam had raped her. Then Alice starts getting hang up phone calls, and letters warning her away from Adam. She starts to snoop around asking questions about Adam and his past. At one point Adam finds out she's snooping and beats the living hell outta her. Then says he loves her so much and cannot live without her. Alice keeps digging and comes across a few things, one Adam was having an affair with a married woman and when she broke it off with him is when she went missing. Also the girlfriend that was killed in the climbing accident? She was cheating on him and he had just found out. Little by little things start falling into place.
Long story short she takes all she knows and goes to the police (I think for the second time cause they didn't believe her the first time). But anyway when they do believe her and go to get Adam he is found dead in his apartment. He hung himself and left a letter saying he only loved Alice so much and needed her love. He was obviously crazy.
I really loved the book, it was intense, a little erotic, it had me turning each page faster and faster. So it is no surprise that I was sooo excited to watch the movie.......I should have known better.
So as you see I loved the book. I am of course expecting the same from the movie, now I'm not dumb I know there are going to be some things added some things taken away, and some things exaggerated or played down. But I did expect it to follow the same story line with the same ending. OMG was I disappointed. Before I even get into the plot of the movie that I didn't like let me just say they messed up just casting Heather Graham as Alice. She has got to be the worse actress EVER. Her facial expressions alone killed it! I think they were just thinking 'oh we need to have quite a few naked sex scenes so lets get a girl with a great body, and who cares if she can act." Ugggg!
Now back to the movie!
Okay first off the intense obsession that you feel in the book is totally missing. In the movie it seems like just an instant intense attraction, you may ask what's the difference. But the movie seemed so normal. The book seemed like it was a beyond normal obsession, it was so much more intense, it drew you in so much more.
So they meet basically the same as they did in the book, yet there is barely any of the history on Adam in the movie as there was in the book. I kept waiting to see the intense almost craziness in Adam but it never came. Yeah, he was crazy about Alice but not in a scary way. So I'm thinking this movie is definitely lacking...yes they still had the kinky sex that bordered on violent but it was never a forced thing like it almost seemed in the book.Alice never was uncomfortable in any way, she was hot for everything Adam did. So I'm waiting and waiting, and finally Alice starts to find clues to Adams past. She starts putting things together and finally she goes to the police. They don't believe her so she turns and runs to Adams sister, who by the way didn't even exist in the book.
Let me say real quick that we meet Adams sister in the beginning and you don't really know how to take her, she seems a little off, but still kind of nice.
So she goes to the sister and tells her what she is thinking, all the same suspicions as the book, and the sister believes her. So together they go off to where Alice thinks Adam buried the body of an ex-lover that he killed. When there they both start digging and Alice finds the body....but she also finds a necklace on the body. The same necklace that the sister gave her! Turns out the sister was the one killing and crazy. She had an obsession with her brother, made him have sex with her when they were younger and thinks of him as her's. Adam arrives to 'save the day' and Alice ends up killing the sister right as she's about to kill Adam. So you'd think after they messed up the ending to the book the least they could do is give Adam and Alice a HEA right? Ummm, NO! They freaking go their separate ways and that's that. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.
Now if I never read the book I may have liked the movie, IF they stayed together in the end. But they just messed it in so many ways it wasn't even right. But one thing they did get right? Yummmy yummy yummmy Adam! The guy that played Adam was freaking HOT! Joseph Fiennes, and here's some eye candy of him:
I think it's mostly his eyes. OMG you could just drown in them, they are a mix of light brown and hazel. It sounds really weird but they are almost clear brown. See you know I got it bad if I'm staying stupid things like "drown in them". I am so not THAT girl. But goodness the eyes and that half smile of his? Yeah, baby!

A day at the shore.
You know when I first started this blog I was all "well since I have a fake name on here, then I'm not gonna put any pics and not use real names for my family or anything. But you know what? Sometimes that's boring. So here is a post on my day at the shore and a few pics to go with it. lol.
So I went to the Shore (Belmar) with my mom, sister, brother, niece, Aunt, 2 cousins and my kids. Side pic is of me with my brother and sister. I know I'm such a whitie next to them huh? lol. They got all our daddy's coloring. So not fair.
We had a good time. We were at the shore by 10am. Not packed at all. The water was soooo cold but that didn't matter much since as I was inching myself into it my sister practically tackled me down so we both went under. Lol, and in the process I lost my sunglasses. I could kill her for that. Then we both took down my Aunt. Fun times.
OMG the water was filled with dead jelly fish. Soooo gross. I kept freaking out and screaming cause I couldn't get used to it and they were everywhere! Sliding across my legs and all. Ewww. My brother and sister were picking them up and throwing them at people. It was actually very funny. But I couldn't bring myself to touch them. Dead or not, I don't care. But I did get mad and have to dunk my brother when I was getting out of the water and he threw one at me and though it was oh so funny!
By the way isn't it just sad that I am the oldest and the shortest? I have one other sister (she was at work) who is the youngest and even she is taller than me!Well I will tell you all I am now the color of a lobster. I won't peel, tomorrow I will be a nice tan. But today? Yeah, I'm all kinds of red. Why you ask? Hmmm, maybe because I fell asleep on the beach with my face up to the sun, and since I have a stuffed up nose my mouth was open. Which resulted in two things. One my bottom lip is all kinds of burnt. OUCH! And two....yeah, I woke up cause my retarded sister put sand in my mouth! Gotta love your siblings huh? lol.
Over all we all had a really great day. Lot's of fun and laughs. And in the end that's all that matters.

20 things that IRK me...
Lots of things IRK me so I decided to blog on it. And you know what? I'm gonna make this one of those tag things! lol. So here we go.
1) When people ask me to repeat myself. I hate it, I don't know why, I just feel like you should have been listening and if you weren't then your loss.
2) When people make noise while they eat. JD does this on purpose just to annoy me!
3) When people eat with there mouth open. Are you a freaking PIG? Gross!
4) People who make loud noises when they work out. SHUT UP! If it is that hard to lift then you should take some freaking weight off.
5) People that dress for bed to go to the gym. Just cause your working out doesn't mean you don't have to match.
6) People that come into my store ask a million questions look at very expensive diamonds then say they want to spend around $200. WTF! Then why are we looking at 2 CT. Diamonds???
7) Girls that don't keep up with their eyebrows. Really, it's not hard and it only takes a few minutes here and there.
8) When ANYONE tells me to 'Calm Down'. Let me tell you something I'm not freaking excited but if you tell me to calm down one more time you will see me get in your face!
9) Ugly guys that think they can get with me. Please, just stop trying.
10) When I'm trying to sleep and JD keeps tapping his wedding ring on the bed post. He does it just cause he knows it bothers me.
11) Authors that write great books and horrible endings. Jude Devorox (sp???)
12) People that use the race card whenever they can. Just cause a customer doesn't want any held doesn't mean it's you and because your black. Yeah there are some racist people out there, but it's not everyone. So stop going on and on about it. It could just be YOU people don't like.
13)BET! I hate that channel! I do. And don't say there is a Spanish channel that is cause it's a different language! They have many different colored people on their station. BET just is aggravating! Is there a WET? No I think NOT! Uggg.
14) Explaining myself. I just shouldn't have to do it.
15) People that wear clothes that don't fit them. Fat and skinny alike!
16) Guys that say looks aren't all that matter but date the prettiest DUMBEST girls possible!
17) People that change who they are depending on who they are with. Just be yourself, and if that isn't good enough you have problems.
18) People that talk trash behind my back! Seriously, just tell me how you really feel.
19) Working with that Indian old woman I told you all about! Or wait, just her in general irks me.
20)Other peoples kids.
And I'm tagging:
Holly
Dylan
Izzy
Jerk
There are others I'm interested in reading but I'll leave others to tag others. Did that just make sense? lol.

Gym update.
Okay so I started going back to the gym last Tuesday. A week ago. And I've lost.... 1 freakin' pound! Woop dee freaking doo! Uggg, I know it takes time but still for as sore as I've been? Puleez, I need more to show for my efforts. I guess my late night snacks don't help do they? Okay okay I'm gonna stop. I swear. I'm not giving up. I will press on. lol. Listen to me motivating myself!
I am going to Vegas in November and I will be Fucking HOT! Not hot, not HOT but Fucking HOT!!! Got it??? LOL, so I'm on a schedule here.
Saw a guy on the tread mill tonight. Grey sneaks, black socks (who does that???), Green shorts, red tee. Ummm, need I say more? lol.
I can't stand the people that do way to much weights and make all these loud noises every time they lift. Uggg, it is just one of the many things that irk me. I should do a blog on that. All the things that irk me. I think I will! I'll start working on it and add things as I think of them. Yup, expect that blog the end of this week or beginning of next. lol.
It wasn't me! Remember I told you all the other day when I went to the gym it said there was only 15 min. left and I was all annoyed cause I thought the gym was open for another hour & 15 min? Well it announced the same thing tonight, but I didn't pay attention since nobody else was. Then at 11pm the guy announced the gym will be closing in 1 hour. Well why the other announcement then?
Do guys feel weird being naked in the locker room? Girls too! Do you feel weird? I used to when I first started at the gym. You know coming outta the shower or just changing from work clothes to gym clothes. I mean I still can't be all out in the open. I turn so I am facing the lockers when I change my bra and when I change my pants I have my ass towards the lockers. lol. Is it just me? Does anyone else even think about it when they are at the gym?
Don't tell me not to worry about other people at the gym, that they aren't paying attention and are only there for their own work out. It's a lie! I go to the gym for my work out, but you know what? I still look at everyone else. What else are you supposed to do? I look, and I make fun in my head. I do, so I know others are too.
Lastly, why do I feel nauseous? I didn't lift more than I could handle, and I didn't eat right before going to the gym. But still about 1/2 way through the workout I started to feel a little sick. I'm still fighting it. ???
I've decided to do a weekly update on my gym / weight loss stuff. So I'm gonna make a list thing on the left side bar. Okay. So yeah, expect that. And for now? I need a shower and my bed. Catch ya lata.

24 hour drive trough with a late night menu...
So last night I'm talking to my girl Holly it's about 9:30pm her time but past midnight mine. So we're chatting and I say how I am not even really hungry but want to eat something cause I'm bored so she says "Me too! I'm craving something, like McDonald's fries" and I'm all "Mmmmm how bout there new snack wrap? That's good, and cheap" and here's the rest of what happens:
Holly~ "Talk me out of going to McDonald's."
Me~ "If you go I'll go."
Holly~ "Your not helping! And anyway it's 10 miles away."
Me~ "Oh mines only across the street. Hmmm, let's go anyway. Now I really wanna snack wrap."
Holly~ "Okay I'm going (in her wife beater and shorts, lol). Oh but then I'll need to get gas. Is it worth it?"
Me~ "Yeah! Now it is definitely worth it! You get to sleep in earlier tomorrow morning now since you won't have to get gas. Now you have to go."
(See how easily I justify a late night snack?)
Okay so she's off, and I'm getting up to look for my car keys. Okkkaaayyyy, where the heck are my keys? It is now almost 1am and I am tiptoeing through my house so not to wake my husband or kids and looking for my keys. I can't freaking find them. Meanwhile Holly has gotten gas, ordered and is waiting in line to get her food (the drive through line).
As a last resort I say to Holly "Okay I'm gonna go see if maybe my car is unlocked and I left them on the seat or something, and if not I have JD's car keys and I'll scrap around his car for money." (Oh yeah, did I mention I HAVE to drive my car cause my money is in there). So my car is locked (big surprise) but when I get into my husbands car guess what I find??? My truck keys in his dash! I wanted to scream! All the searching and here they are just sitting there.
Anyway now the race is on. Me and Holly wanna enjoy our McDonald's together. She's still waiting in line as I pull outta my parking lot. I'm off. I get to McDonald's about to order and Holly is STILL waiting. Okay so I know what I want: one snack wrap & one medium iced coffee.
I go to order and I get this back
MD~ "I can get you the Iced Coffee but we don't make the Snack Wrap after a certain time."
Me~ "Are you serious? That's what I want!"
MD~ "Sorry, there is a special late night menu out there."
Me~ huffing and puffing "Fine, I'll take the 3-pc. Chicken Selects."
So I pull up (Holly is still waiting *snicker*) and the woman tells me she is going to make my snack wrap after all. Ummm thanks but why all the hassle if she was going to do it anyway? So I get my iced coffee (perfection) and my snack wrap (yummm) and FINALLY Holly gets her food too. lol.
So moral of the story? Don't talk to Holly on the phone late at night, it is fattening. lol. Love you girl!
Oh and when I got back home, my parking spot was taken...I had to park all far. AND I had to run to the dumpster to hide all evidence of my late night snack.

'J' Moment ~ Hot Girls!
So as I'm sure all you football freaks know last Sunday was the Eagles first pre-season game. So my husband being the football/Eagles freak that he is was all set up in front of his big screen TV ready to watch, with J right next to him. J always does what ever JD does when it comes to sports. So the 'boys' need food! Me and A go to the pizza palor to get them some wings and when I get home this is the conversation I get from my almost 5 year old LITTLE BOY!
J~ Mommy do you know what hot means?
Me~ No baby, what?
J~ Girls that are really pretty.
Me~ (Upon hearing JD choking) Oh really? And did you see any hot girls?
J~ Yeah, daddy said the football cheerleaders are.
JD~ J you are never allowed to watch football with me again.
J~ Why?
JD~ You tell mommy all my secrets.
Me~ You shouldn't have secrets for him to tell.
J~ They are hot mommy.
Then I am watching a movie, She's the man, and J is with me. So on this one part when they kiss I say "Ewww, kissing's yucky!" and J says "No it's not mommy, kissing is yummy." OMG, my son should not be thinking girls are hot and that kissing is yummy yet! What the heck is going on?
