Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier.
I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.
I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.
But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only 1 check left.
My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke I'd been drinking.
I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over.
The Coke is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.
As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water.
I put the Coke on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.
I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.
I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.
I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.
So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.
Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.
At the end of the day:
- The car isn't washed
- The bills aren't paid
- There is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter
- The flowers don't have enough water,
- There is still only 1 check in my check book,
- I can't find the remote,
- I can't find my glasses,
- And I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all damn day, and I'm really tired.
I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.
Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, because I don't remember who I've sent it to.
Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!
(My husband sent this to me in an email. It is sooo me!)

This Freaking ROCKS!!!
Today I went to meet the Regional Manager for the new store I'm going to work for. We discussed money and when I'd start. And I freaking rock cause even after he offered me less than I wanted I held my ground and walked away getting exactly what I wanted. Go me! I start on May 20th. Aren't you all so happy and proud of me!!! lol. I sure as hell am.
****************SIDE NOTE*********************
I am watching late night tv and just heard Rosie is leaving The View in June. Does anyone have the dirt? I am so happy about this. The show went all kinds of trashy with her on it. Good riddance.
*************END SIDE NOTE********************
Other news. We STILL haven't heard back from the landlord at the house we want to rent. As of now this is what we know....three people including us looked at the house. They want us to rent it cause for whatever reason we are their ideal tenants (yeah right it's cause we're so freaking perfect. NOT! I'm at a loss as to why). YET we've been trying to set up a meeting to firm out all the repairs that are going to be done first and get a move in date. Sign a lease and all. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY WAITING FOR! This is driving me nuts, the waiting and not knowing. Grrr.
************************************************
Oh yeah, and I started a new blog! I'm sure most of you know I used to post book reviews and other fun book stuff at Sanctuary's Finest. Well the bunch of us went different ways, with our blogs we're still friends, and this is my new blog, Escape With Me. Go check it out and see how freaking cool it is.
Oh and Nikki, I am soooo going to do your book of the month Ole! over there. I FREAKING SWEAR TO GOODNESS. I know I said I was going to try before but I sucked and didn't, but I really will this time. lol.
************************************************
I am having such a good time right now. I went to work tonight came home to an empty house. Got into comfy close watched October Road (which I was not impressed with the finale, but whatever) surfed the net, now I am blog hopping and posting. And the best part? I don't have to work till 4pm tomorrow so I can sleep as long as I want. I am in no rush to go to bed, as a matter of fact I'm gonna watch last nights Grey's Anatomy when I'm done here. No kids no husband no nothing till Sunday.
Josh went to NY with a few of his guy friends to stand in line all night to get tickets to go and see the NFL draft or something. I don't' know. But he's having fun and I'm getting lots of me time. I'm LOVING IT!
*************************************************
I so need to dress hot more often. Today I dressed nice for my meeting, even if I did look like I was going to a funeral in all my black. I had on my new Nine West 4" heels, black pencil skirt, black button down shirt which all looked really hot with my sterling silver chunky ball necklace and bracelet with my long dangling earrings.
I was hot and I was getting checked out left and right. And damn if it didn't feel good! Whatever a girl likes attention every now and then to know she's still got it. DON'T JUDGE ME!

Friends
Are you a good friend?
Usually I tell people I'm not a great friend.
I mean I'm good in the sense that I will always love you always have your back never allow anyone to disrespect you or anything, and when it REALLY counts I am there. But bad in the way that I forget things (like random get together dates set up), don't call sometimes, get busy with my kids and work and not have time for you.
So I don't know, does that mean I'm good or bad? Or just normal?
I get annoyed at my friends though when I don't get a basic respect that I give. And I don't think that's to much to ask for. I give you my utmost respect and honesty all the time. Even if I totally forget I said I'd do something with you I will tell you that instead of lying to you.
So if I am mad at you I tell you. If I want to do something and it may or may not hurt your feelings? I'll tell you.
I don't sugar coat things, I'm blunt and straight to the point.
I'm a bitch sometimes but I think at the end of the day I'm pretty damn good to my friends. And I'm sick of finding out that I don't always give my friendship to deserving people. It's a waste of my fucking time.
So, this post doesn't really have an exact purpose. Nothing in particular happened. There have been random things going on with different people in my life lately and I just wanted to vent.
But I am interested in what you have to say. What is a true friend to you? Are you a good friend? Are you always honest or do you think there is nothing wrong with a little white lie every once in awhile?

23 and counting, amoung other random things.
24....that's how many boxes I have packed as of right now.
1 is full of photo albums and framed pictures.
2 are full of kitchen stuff
21 are full of my books!
Josh says I officially have issues and need to get rid of alot of them. I just can't do it though.
**********************************************************
I went to see TMNT last night with my parents and my kids. They treated, it was really nice.
Some funny things?
I went to Dunkin Donuts before I got there and bought my parents coffee and the kids doughnut holes. Then snuck them in inside my HUMONGOUS pures. lol. People make fun of my over sized bags but they wouldn't be able to sneak food into the theaters without it now would they? Hmmm. I had books and all arranged around so the coffee's wouldn't spill, then I laid one of Abby's dolls over the top so nobody could see in.
When I got in the theater I noticed that there were subtitles on the screen. That annoyed me because everything annoys me. So of course I am sitting there complaining about the stupid words on the screen.
Then the kid behind us is being ungodly loud, I keep shooting his parents looks, and was being my normal rude self since I was being inconvenienced during a movie I was watching. But I soon looked like the fool I was....why? I look back and caught the parent signing to the kid. Yeah, he was deaf, that's why there were subtitles and why he was grunting and being loud. I felt like an ass. lol.
Oh well live and learn.
**********************************************************
My family is crazy. NO really I am not joking.
Remember awhile ago I posted something about that custom made jewelry party I was having? Well my mom decided to have a party last week. Me and one of my friends from work went, she had never met my parents yet. I warned her but I still don't think she was prepared.
Towards the end of the party my mom got to pick out a bracelet for free. So she did and then was adding her two charms to it, first a prayer box, THEN........she wanted the Star of David. This is what happened:
Mom: Can I get the Star of David?
Me: NO!
Mom: Why not?
Me: Your not Jewish! Why would you want that?
Mom: It looks nicer than the regular star.
***then she looks at my friend Jamie and says***I can get it right?
Jamie: Ummm, no.
Mom: Fine, what else is there?
***after we look around for awhile she see's a picture of this hand with a heart in it....and the following happens***
Mom: OMG I WANT THAT! I LOVE IT!!!!
Lory (the sales woman): Okay, sure.
****about 20 min. later and Lory is packing up. Me, Jamie, my mom, brother, sister, dad and grandmom are sitting around the table in the other room.****
Mom: I wanted the Star of David
Jose: Mom your not Jewish.
Grandmom:Why would you want that Beth?
Mom: It looked nice. And my father was Jewish.
Jose: Mom your father was Italian.
Mom: No my Father in Heaven!
All of us: OMG mom be serious! lol.
Dad: Beth it's your bracelet! Get what you want.
Mom: I WANT THE STAR OF DAVID!!!!! I WANT IT!
Me: Mom! Use your normal voice and go into the other room and tell Lory!
Lory: Oh, were you talking to me?
***after my mom finished up her order and Lory tells her she'll get it in about 2 weeks.***
Mom: I DON'T WANT TO WAIT! I WANT IT NOW!!!
I just shook my head and walked away. She really doesn't think she is acting crazy when she does things like that. And I really think she got the Star of David on her bracelet. People are gonna think she's crazy.

What's going on latley?
The move???
Well we are not moving in with my in-laws. lol. I know some of you are saying 'thank God you just side stepped a disaster', which may be true. But it would have helped us save money. But no matter, since it is no more. Now they are moving and we are moving but separately.
They have signed a lease for the place they are going to and all already. We just looked at a few places today. We saw one we REALLY liked, and it's very close to my parents. Perfect price range. Everything brand new. But you know how it is....we have to wait, see what they say, hope nobody else is trying to get it too. And just pray we get it. The only down side? One bathroom, I was REALLY hoping for more than that. But after being in condos and apartments I'm just happy to have a garage, driveway, my own mail box, a yard.....and all that if we get it. So cross your fingers with us. And yes it is to rent, we aren't buying for a few years yet.
New job????
I kinda got offered an Assistant Manager position at a different jewelry store than where I am now. It would be at the mall that is close to where we want to move. ALOT more money and better hours. Yes it is retail so I still have a few nights and weekends, which suck, but it's what I got for now so it's what I'll take.
I said 'kinda offered' cause it hasn't been done official yet. It was over the phone and since I know, personally, the person I was talking with it wasn't really professional. So this week I am supposed to meet the District manager and talk money. So I guess I need your fingers crossed for that too.
What else???
Not much I guess, isn't that sad? My life right now revolves around moving and my job. Yeay me! NOT. Uggg.
Well I just wanted to give you all an up date on me. Sorry I haven't been around but I've just not been in a blogging mood for awhile. I mean even over at my team book blog, I've been reading like crazy lately. I have a ton of reviews in the drafts section, but I just can't seem to pound one out.

The Concert....
I loved it, but I am so tiered right now so I am going to just post pictures of our night. So....here's the night without words....
(**I am editing this just to let you all know that I know that there is some weird code looking words under and above all my pics. But a headache is setting in and I am not fixing it. So enjoy the pictures and ignore the words. Thanks!**)

She never wins.
SHE FREAKING WON!!!!!
She was caller 102 and won 2 tickets to see CRISTINA AGULARA!!!!! And the Pussy Cat Dolls will be there too. AND SHE'S TAKING ME!!!!! It's this Tuesday! I am so freaking siked out of this world!!!!!!!!!!
So who wants to be me on Tuesday...ha ha. This will be my first concert I've ever gone to. I am so excited!!!!
Oh and Abby's Birthday was great, she got a ton of Tinker Bell stuff. The girl is obsessed with Tink. lol.

Whadaya think?
I really have no reason for this post. I just wanted to post this scary picture of me. lol. So here you have it. Whadaya thing? I like this new word I put together, wadaya. lol. I'm gonna use it alot, whadaya think about that? heee heee.
Hmmm, what else? Oh wadaya know? I don't think I told anyone yet that we are moving in with my in laws for a bit. Just so we can save some money for a house. It is seriously impossible to save as you pay outrageous rent. And our rent is decent compared to everything else in our area. But still. I'm crossing my fingers cause they found a place that would be perfect for all of us, and plenty big. But the guy is worried with so many people there will be to much wear and tear on the place. But all he has to do is go look at my MIL place now, it's immaculate 24/7! There is nothing to worry about. So send all your best my way.
*******************************************************
Yesterday I was driving my crazy kids to the library. I had to run to drop something off at someones house and they weren't home yet, so I decided to wait there. Anyway they were fighting and yelling and I was listening to an audio book, and I kinda dazed out. Yup, I just was like looking at the road thinking 'is this it?' Screaming kids, library, audio-books, feeling fat and gross. Ick. I really wasn't liking myself or my life yesterday. I just wanted to cry.
*******************************************************
Yesterday my mother in law asked my daughter what she wanted for her birthday and she said a bra! WHAT? LOL. My father in law snaps out 'you don't need that yet, pick something else' while my son is asking what a bra is and Josh is telling him he doesn't need to know. lol.
Which reminded me of the other day when me and Abby were in the mall. We walked past a nail salon and she asked what they did there. When I told her she asked if she can get nails and I said when she's bigger. She says 'big like you?' after I said yes she said 'when I get big like you, will I get boobies too?'. She's obsessed! I had to stop myself from saying 'lets hope a little bigger than mine.' lol.
Oh and last but not least.....how bout when we were at Target she points to a leopard print skirt and says 'look mommy it's like your booby holder.' I wanted to die, there were a ton of people around. Ugggg......

Wedding Bells Survey
I stole this from CSR, who stole it from Izzy....you get the point.
Where/how did you meet? At church
How long have you known each other? 9 1/2 years, or maybe a little more
How long after you met did you start dating? 6ish months
How long did you date before you were engaged? A year and 3 months
How long was your engagement? A year and one week.
How long have you been married? Almost 7 years, OMG that is a LONG time!
What is your anniversary? Wedding~ 7/8/00, Together~3/21/98
How many people came to your wedding reception? About 200
What kind of cake did you serve? Do you know I don't even remember what kind of cake it was inside? Like I know it wasn't chocolate or anything, but I don't remember if it had filling (I think it did) or anything, I just remember my Grandmom made it, it was delicious (so everyone says), and it was soooooo freaking gorgeous. It had white rolled fondant icing, and yellow and white Daisey's all over it (fresh).
Where was your wedding? Cerimoney at our church, and the reception was at a hall.
What did you serve for your meal? Basic reception food but I don't really remember. It was buffet style. And there was a lot of it. Hey my family is Italian and Puerto Rican, there's no other way to do it.
How many people were in your wedding party? 7 Girls, 7 Guys, 1 Ring Boy, and 2 Flower Girls.
Are you still friends with them all? Pretty much. The girls were my two sisters, my aunt, my cousin, my best friend (to this day) and Josh's two cousins. The guys were Josh's brother, my brother, Josh's cousin, my cousin, Josh's best friend from high school, and two mutual friends.
Did your spouse cry during the ceremony? No he laughed, he laughs when he's nervous. Me on the other hand? I balled. lol.
Most special moment of your wedding day? When everything was finally over!
Any funny moments? Oh how bout when I was leaving my house to go to the church and my aunt stopped by. She wanted to see my garter belt so I lifted my dress to show her and these guys rode by and cat called out their window. lol.
Any big disasters? I was getting dressed and realized that I left my ... what is it called? the puffy skirted slip thing that makes your dress puffy? Well that, I left it at Josh and my new condo. lol. My dad had to run and get it. I was all stressed.
Oh and how bout I have 8 aunts, all married and one uncle also married, not to mention over 20 something cousins and I totally lost it and freaked out while trying to get them all together for a family picture.
Where did you go on your honeymoon? Cancun, Mexico.
How long were you gone? I think 9 days, I can't remember exactly. lol.
If you were to do your wedding over, what would you change? I would have had my ceremony and reception outside like I originally wanted but everyone talked me out of doing.
What side of the bed do you sleep on? Left
What size is your bed? Queen, and we need a new one. My mom bought this for us, but when we get the new one it is soooo going to be a California king.
Greatest strength as a couple? Understanding each other. Most of the time anyway, lol.
Greatest challenge as a couple? Money??? Isn't that always the case. lol.
Who literally pays the bills? Josh, I used to but I just hate doing it.
What is your song? All my Life by Kaci & Jojo
What did you dance your first dance to? See above.
Describe your wedding dress: Princess dress! White tool bottom with sequins in random spots, sweetheart neck (I think that's what it would be called) all lacy, lace straps, long train, and a laced up back.
What kind of flowers did you have at your wedding? My girls carried traditional yellow and white daisy's and I carried white and yellow roses.
Are your wedding bands engraved? No.
How old were you when you got married? I was 18 and Josh was 19. Soooo young, I know. lol.
But I love him even more now!

I'm 25 now how old are you???
Does anyone remember me telling the story about being asked to be in a wedding by a girl I only hung out with like three times and knew for a few months? Well yeah, her husband works with mine and they were obviously desperate for some friends.
But whatever long story short, they paid for everything so I was all what the hell sure I'll be in the wedding. The rest of the bridal party was from out of state so I didn't meet any of them till the day before the wedding. Let's just say it was full of camp songs from when the were kids and stories that bore me. But whatever I endured.
Then we went to the mall to buy some fun stuff for her to take on her honeymoon while she did some other wedding stuff. Her sister wanted to get her these fun panties but when I noticed the size I said they wouldn't fit. Well the sister insisted that they would and I insisted that my ass was smaller and mine wouldn't fit in them. Well to this day I have to assume this is what ended the 'friendship' I had with the bride. Cause she hasn't spoken to me since the wedding.
I bumped into her once in CVS and offered her a ride home since she walked and it had started to pour. I had to practically force her into my car. I didn't get it, till later when someone said to Josh "Oh well we didn't' know if we should invite S since Nicole will be there." Obviously I now know there is a problem. But you know what? I just don't care enough to do anything.
Sooooo (this long story short is turning out to be pretty long) to the point. When we bump into them in Target or anything her husband will stop and talk to Josh and barley ackowledge me, and she will not even stop at all. But whatever, I find it funny. And I laugh right in front of them, you want to act like a child? Go ahead.
Well last night I was working and decided to run downstairs to browse a few stores since it was so dead in the mall. When I was cutting through the food court I did a double look, yup it was them. They were standing in line to get ice cream and I laughed to myself. Why? Cause I'm a bitch, she gained weight and is so much fatter than me. lol. Little things like this make me smile.
I went into my FAVORITE store then, NY & Comp. Accessories, and was looking at the millions of purses and sunglasses I wanted to buy then left. As I walked past the Hallmark store I noticed the husband standing outside, I guess she she was inside. I didn't' even think he saw me till I looked back and saw that he was putting his head down, sipping his drink and looking at me from under his eyelashes. LIKE I COULDN'T TELL!
Really, isn't' that something you do in grade school? I looked right at him and laughed while shaking my head.
When I got back up to my store I was telling my friend J about what happened. Then I was all 'OMG look! That's them!'. J looked up and was all 'your not exaggerating, they don't like you. They are practically running past our store' yeah, I'm surprised they didn't start to sprint. lol!

And just for some more fun, here is the story of my trip to get breakfast for me and a co-worker on Sunday:
"Hi, do you have a french swearl doughnut? Or something like that?"
"YES YES YOU WANT DOZEN? DOZEN OF THEM? WHAT ELSE?"
"NO! I don't want a dozen. One I want one."
"Dozen? Yes?"
"NO, listen to me! I want one! Then two Boston Cream donuts."
"That all??? No more?"
"NO! That is not all! Bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain toasted bagel with a medium coffee."
"Plain bagel okay?"
"That is what I said, yes."
"And two large coffee?"
"NO, ONE MEDIUM coffee."
"Cream sugar?"
"Yes"
"Come to window"
When I got to work and checked the order they got everything right but I had sausage instead of bacon on my bagel. Why do I ever even expect to get what I asked for? Uggg. Oh and yeah, that was Dunkin Doughnuts. lol.
